The nine gemstones, known as Navaratnams, are used in jewelry making and are important in Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and other religions.
Just as we use the lucky stones of the planets that correspond to the planets when the light is low, we use them to take clearer pictures by increasing the light. The stones of the nine planets have the power to absorb only certain colors of light. That is why they reflect that color.
The nine gems are: pearl, diamond, sapphire, ruby, sapphire, emerald, topaz, coral, and agate.
